Great News for Annat Bank Patients
New GPs appointed at Annat Bank Practice
GP services will continue for patients of Annat Bank Practice in Montrose as new provider DNBGP takes over the practice from 2 December 2024.
DNBGP is a team of GPs from a long-established central Aberdeen GP training practice who will rebrand the practice as Annat Health Centre.
Annat Bank patients do not need to do anything as they will be automatically transferred to the new Annat Health Centre. The new GPs will also be working alongside previous members of the Annat Bank Practice team. Letters have been sent to patients to inform them of changes and these will have started to arrive today (Saturday 9 November).
Annat Bank Practice advised NHS Tayside that it would be terminating its contract to deliver GP services on 29 November 2024. Angus Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and NHS Tayside have been working together, alongside local GPs, to look at options to provide Primary Care Services. Following a successful tender process, the Angus Integration Joint Board made a recommendation to NHS Tayside of a preferred option which would see DNBGP take over the practice. This recommendation was accepted by NHS Tayside.
Operational Medical Director for Primary Care, David Shaw said, “We very much welcome today’s news.
“Finding a new provider ensures there is continuity of care for current patients as they will remain registered with the new practice which will operate out of the same location.
“NHS Tayside has written to all patients of Annat Bank Practice to inform them of the new arrangements however, patients should be assured that they do not have to do anything. They will continue to access services via Annat Health Centre.”
A spokesperson for DNBGP said, “We are very excited to be part of the Montrose community.
“We are very grateful for the opportunity and we look forward to serving our registered patients.”
