π§ King George Park
Ferryden and Craig Community Council are pleased to announce that the Ferryden Pathways Projects started today at King George Park.
This will see the creation of a new pathway from the main West entrance along the North side of the park and will meander through the recently established community fruit orchard that Ferryden in Flower are managing.
An existing gravel pathway that runs up the West end of the park will also be replaced. All new pathways will be tarmac and will allow disabled access to areas of the park for the first time.
There will also be the addition of 2 picnic benches near the play park suitable for wheelchair users as well as 2 new benches to the side of the new path. These new benches will face South and hopefully allow users to enjoy some sunshine.
Improvement works will also be carried out at the Scuperie Steps and East Way path in the village as well as well as the Kings Roadie.
Signifcant improvements to the village in which we live and this has all been made possible by a Β£90,000 grant from Seagreen Wind Energy.
Unfortunatley there will be some disruption within the park as work is carried out. Some access to areas will be restricted as our main contractor The Geddes Group Ltd complete these works whilst complying with the necessary Health and Safety guidelines.
Works should be complete within a 2 week period, weather permitting.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but I am sure you will appreciate the improvements once work is complete.
Best Regards
